Chrysotile cement (asbestos cement) non-pressure pipes

Chrysotile cement pipes are used for the installation of engineering communications for various purposes; they consist of asbestos (chrysotile), water and cement. Chrysotile cement non-pressure pipes are highly resistant to corrosion, mechanical stress, temperature changes and strength throughout. The asbestos fiber in the composition performs the function of reinforcing the structure of the pipeline system.

Depending on the design features, there are two types of pipe rolling - regular and thin-walled:

  • Chrysotile cement pipe BNT. During the production process, rolled pipes undergo a reinforcement procedure, which allows them to be used as monolithic parts for constructing the foundations of buildings and structures;
  • Non-pressure thin-walled asbestos-cement pipes BNTT.

Asbestos-cement pipes BNT and BNTT have a wide range of applications and are an excellent alternative to plastic and metal analogues. Their main advantage is low cost with a long service life (up to 30-60 years).

Rolled pipes are used for different purposes:

  • Installation of ventilation communications and cable communication channels;
  • Construction of gravity sewer networks;
  • Installation of chimney structures and smoke exhaust ducts;
  • Installation of garbage chutes;
  • Construction of building foundations;
  • In drainage collectors of reclamation systems.

The group sells a wide range of non-ferrous, stainless and ferrous metal products. We also offer our customers to buy non-pressure asbestos-cement pipes of different sizes and two versions - regular and thin-walled. Our company delivers throughout Russia and the CIS countries, guaranteeing the most affordable prices on the market for chrysotile cement non-pressure pipes.

Non-pressure pipes

One of the items produced and sold by Belgorodasbestocement OJSC is chrysotile cement free-flow pipes and couplings of simple cylindrical design. The manufacturability of production and quality control of products at all stages leaves no doubt; GOST 31416 determines the standard sizes of manufactured products. The scope of use of this type of pipe includes the following subsystems: reclamation systems, air ducts, garbage chutes, telephone cable lines and much more.

Connecting couplings for asbestos-cement pipes

The reinforcement is made from a mixture of cement, water and chrysotile.
Chrysotile is a type of asbestos that is safe for the human body. The fibrous material is non-explosive, insoluble in water, and chemically inert.

The equipment is manufactured for asbestos-cement non-pressure (BNT) and thin-walled (BNTT) pipes.

Application areas for asbestos-cement couplings for BNT non-pressure pipes include:

  • external sewers;
  • telephone lines;
  • exhaust ventilation (chimneys);
  • garbage chutes;
  • reclamation systems.

In addition, the equipment is used for associated drainage of heat pipelines.

The reinforcement has high waterproofing properties and can be used in damp soil. Due to its low thermal conductivity, it is used in the construction of heating networks. Chrysotile cement material freezes less than steel.

Other advantages of the equipment include:

  • light weight;
  • strength;
  • resistance to high and low temperatures;
  • immunity to corrosion, exposure to direct sunlight.

The disadvantages of BNM are their fragility during transportation, since it is impossible to stack a large number of products on top of each other. The couplings have low resistance to moving soils.

The fittings include: couplings, pipes, rubber sealing rings. All equipment must be of the same class. The number of couplings and seals is determined individually and specified by the customer separately.

Specifications

State standard 31416-2009 regulates the scope of application, technical parameters, dimensions, and methods of monitoring valves. For equipment with a nominal pressure of 0.6-1.2 MPa, a design with two/four grooves for seals is possible.

  • Working pressure: 0.3-1.6 MPa.
  • Working environment temperature: up to 115 °C.
  • Inner diameter: 140-533 mm.

The product is checked visually for defects. A hydraulic pressure test determines the degree of water resistance.

You can buy a BNM chrysotile cement coupling through the application form on the website or by email. The product meets the state standard. Quality certificates and certificates of conformity are attached.

Chrysotile cement free-flow couplings are connecting elements that are used in the installation of utility networks for various purposes. They provide high tightness and reliability of the connection of individual pipeline elements - drainage systems, heating routes, sewerage, ventilation air ducts.

Pressure pipes

Chrysotile cement pressure pipes and couplings sold by Belgorodasbestotsement OJSC are manufactured in accordance with all production and regulatory and technical requirements. The couplings connecting the pipes have special internal grooves for rubber rings; the latter, under water pressure, press on the walls of the pipe, thereby sealing the joints.

Manufacturing. Regulations

The manufacturing technology is quite simple.
Chrysotile asbestos and cement are mixed in a chamber-sieve cylinder with the addition of water, after which a natural or controlled-forced process of dehydration of the mixture occurs. When the moisture content reaches a predetermined threshold, the “wrapping” process begins. The resulting webs are wound onto a sleeve (rod or model template). The process is continued until the wall thickness reaches the desired size. After the first stage, trimming takes place - depending on the order, the pipe is cut in accordance with the declared length. The remaining parts of the pipe will be used in the future as couplings for pipes of smaller diameter.

At the moment, non-pressure asbestos-cement pipes are produced in accordance with GOST 1839-80, 31416-2009 with a diameter of 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 400mm. and 500mm. Pressure asbestos-cement pipes are produced only in accordance with GOST 31416-2009 .

Chrysotile cement pipes produced according to TU 5786-008-00281571-2011 (technical specifications) are slightly different from chrysotile cement pipes produced according to GOST. The difference is in the nominal diameter (diameter) and wall thickness. But these differences are insignificant. Diameter (nominal diameter) 100mm, 150mm, 200mm, 250mm, 300mm, 350mm, 400mm, and 500mm.

Below is a small comparison of asbestos-cement pipes according to GOST and according to TU (technical specifications):

Also, asbestos pipes manufactured in accordance with GOST and TU differ in cost - pipes according to TU (technical specifications) are much cheaper.
