The plant produces MGK pipes and LMG pipes, buy corrugated pipes

A corrugated culvert is a metal culvert structure, reinforced through the use of corrugation technology, which allows increasing resistance to loads without increasing the wall thickness, which has a positive effect on both metal consumption and the final cost of products. The culvert corrugated pipe is an integral part of the culvert system. At the same time, it is mounted directly under the roadway to reliably shield the road soil from the movement of groundwater and river beds. This is a necessary design to protect the roadway in the presence of a reservoir, river or stream that could disrupt the use of the road. This design is mainly used as a culvert on roads . Thanks to the use of this design, the road surface and soil are shielded from the destructive effects of groundwater that has access to the surface of the earth, as well as free-flowing streams and rivers. The design of a corrugated culvert on a road is half a circle of a certain diameter required in a particular case. The pipe consists of sections of different lengths. The final structure is formed from several similar sections. Reasons for using corrugated culverts in comparison with various small bridge structures:

  • are installed organically without breaking the soil mass;
  • have low cost;
  • They perfectly demonstrate their performance characteristics at backfill depths of over 2 m.

Peculiarities

  • Wide range of cross-section options. Thanks to this feature, it is possible to create optimal structures for each specific case, be it a railway crossing and screening of groundwater or drainage of a water channel;
  • Efficiency of installation. Due to the simplicity of the design and the relatively low weight of the elements, installation is carried out in the shortest possible time;
  • The possibility of dual-use of the finished pipe; in addition to directly laying a road or railway track, it is possible to lay a power cable in a niche.
  • Seismic resistance. The prefabricated type of the product and the thin wall guarantee resistance to the negative effects of surrounding shocks and man-made vibrations on the entire structure as a whole:
  • Steel sheet material: steel 09G2D and 15SP, wall thickness - 2.5-7 mm.

Metal corrugated pipes LMG MGK 10.30

The soil under railways and roads must be protected from erosion by water flows from precipitation and natural sources. A reliable way is to drain water masses through artificially created channels. It is economical to lay drainage through pipe structures made of corrugated sheet steel. The Plant of Tanks and Oversized Metal Structures will accept into production an order for the production of metal corrugated pipes LMG MGK 10.30 for a project of any complexity.

Designation and main parameters

The marking of the LMG MGK 10.30 corrugated pipe with drainage function includes letters and numbers that mean:

  • LMG – corrugated metal sheet. LMG 10.30 structural elements are produced from sheets, which serve as semi-finished products for pipe products.
  • MGK – metal corrugated structures. A section of standardized length is assembled from elements using rolling technology or using bolts. After assembly, the edges of the pipes are processed and are ready for installation of drainage channels of the required length. The connection is made using bolts, studs, using bandage rings and clamps.
  • 10 – internal diameter in decimeters – 1 m;
  • 30 – sheet thickness in tenths of mm, in this case 3 mm.

Designation system in accordance with regulatory documents for standard building structures.

Kinds

According to sectional shape

  • Round culvert. It is used in a wide variety of cases, and, as a rule, is the most common type of product. Often used to insulate SIP power cables.
  • Square. Area of use: construction of railway tunnels. In some cases, the diameter of pipes of this type reaches 8 m.
  • Arched. They are used for the construction of road and railway tunnels in cases where it is necessary to construct a sufficiently wide crossing. The diameter of the pipes reaches 8-12 m.
  • Vertical ellipse. They are usually used to construct tunnels for laying communications and various electrical cables and other technical equipment. The size ranges from 1.5 to 5 m.
  • Horizontal ellipse. They are used for arranging culverts and reach up to 9 m at the widest cross-section.

By points in section

  • one-pointers;
  • two-pointers;
  • multi-point.

Cross section

  • pressure;
  • semi-pressure.

The pipe coating is zinc. The coating is carried out by hot-dip galvanizing. Thanks to this method, it is possible to achieve the longest possible service life of the final structure. In some cases, it can exceed 30 years under conditions of constant corrosive exposure to the surrounding aquatic environment. Installation of the corrugated pipe occurs after preparation, by leveling the arch and removing excess soil. After this, the soil is strengthened and the sections are actually installed. After the sections are installed, the operation of the structure actually begins. An important feature of the operation of a corrugated culvert is the requirement for proper backfilling of the product with soil. Since insufficient backfill mass negatively affects the shape and integrity, due to the impossibility of redistributing the weight of the surrounding soil. Violation of this rule guarantees a reduction in service life, as well as possible deformation.

What do we offer?

  • processing of metal structures by hot-dip galvanizing according to GOST 9.307-89;

  • various payment schemes;
  • cooperation with clients from any region of the Russian Federation, as well as customers from neighboring countries.

Application

The most common way to use such a pipe is during road construction, which requires the use of large diameter pipes and plumbing systems. The culvert is an integral part of modern urban and urban areas. The assembly of really large structures, necessary, for example, for arranging a pedestrian crossing and various culverts, screened underground crossings and the like, is carried out in production conditions. In this case, corrugated steel sheets are mounted by bolting. Previously, all elements of the finished structure are subjected to a galvanizing procedure at the molding stage, which guarantees anti-corrosion resistance.

  • shielding the roadway from groundwater;
  • shielding the road surface from projecting streams and rivers;
  • shielding the roadway from standing water.

Manufacturing of structures

Features of the production of corrugated pipes are related to its purpose. The main areas of application are road construction, where large diameter products are required, and plumbing systems.

  • To obtain structures with large dimensions - culverts, pedestrian crossings, pipes are assembled in production conditions from corrugated sheets. Plano-convex and plane-concave bolts are used as fastening for connections. To increase the resistance of steel to corrosion, the hot-dip galvanizing method is used.

The starting raw material is steel, selected depending on the operating conditions of the culvert structures. So, at winter temperatures of -40 C and below, the 09G2D brand is used. If the temperature ranges from -40 C and above, then 15 SP.

  • Corrugated water pipes are made of stainless steel. The basis is a steel strip 0.25–0.3 mm thick. The workpiece is formed into a pipe and welded with argon. Corrugation is performed at the last stage of molding.

Such culverts, being lighter and less expensive, can withstand significant loads, both internal - water pressure up to 65 bar - and external.

The corrugation, combined with the corrosion resistance of stainless steel, minimizes the deposition of salts on the wall. The fact is that with such a device, the fluid flow retains its natural flow, and a change in cross-section does not serve as an obstacle.

A common feature when using corrugated pipes is their operation with soil. The product can withstand vertical load, transferring it to the ground and in its absence, the structure will begin to deform and collapse. Therefore, when installing corrugated pipe systems, it is important to ensure not only proper installation, but also backfilling.
